Servtech has and will continue to stand for providing the highest quality of service and has adopted this as a fundamental principle.
The calibration performed on the bi-directional pipe prover by Servtech Technical Services gives a direct traceability to accepted international measurement standards. This ensures the lowest possible measurement uncertainty.
The basis for the calibration is standard form American Petroleum Institute Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards chapter 4 section 9 part 2 “Determination of the volume of displacement and Tank Provers by the Waterdraw Method of Calibration”, First edition (December 2005) and reaffirmed September 2010 (API MPMS 4.9.2). Other standards and guides are used when needed. For a full list see references.
Traceability
All tests and calibrations performed by Servtech Technical Services are done with instruments and references that are traceable to International Standards. The main components the proving tank is directly traceable to VSL (National Metrology Institute of the Netherlands). Certificates of VSL are widely recognized via the CIPM Mutual Recognition Agreement (CIPM MRA).
Calculation of the base volume and API repeatability
To establish the base volume at the specified reference conditions API MPMS 12.2.4 “Calculation of Base Prover Volumes by water-draw Method” is used. To calculate the API repeatability of the out pass, back pass and round-trip the equation in 6.1.14 of API MPMS 4.9.2 is used.
